Why I Write
Listening for Love, One Page at a Time
For the past five years, I’ve been writing essays and short vignettes by listening to what’s coming through and what life is trying to show me. The clearer the screen of my mind becomes, and the more I can recognize the little theater of my thoughts, the easier it is for a quieter love-wisdom to come through - in the form of self-kindness, self-compassion, and letting things go.
This has changed how I see people. I’ve come to feel that at our essence, we are all exactly the same, and that only the details of our lives make us look different on the surface. Even our bodies, as unique as they are, are not the whole story of who we are.
So I write about love. For a long time, I felt shy - even a little ashamed - to admit that. But the truth is that when I get out of the way, love is what shows up.
My hope is that these writings nudge us toward more kindness - with ourselves and with each other - and toward a sense of harmony and belonging instead of the old dissonance and separation the world so often reinforces.
Thank you for reading my heart’s contributions to the collective.
